Had and FTD rep in my shop on Tues I think he wanted me to join as they ahve no one in this area. It was only cost me $29.99 a month for a year. I said no other hidden fees and he said no. I still told him no as the the other shop here I think lost their FTD for non payment. He showed me there numbers not good at all.
Anyone out there go for this slick sales pitch? I said I've been getting your stuff from headquarters with a credit card and he said well your not getting all of them I'm sure. I said so why should I pay for you to send them to me when you send them to me now. He didn't hsve and answer for that one. Plus he is not the normal sales rep for this area as they have no one right now he told me. Must of thought is they sent a real person instead of calling on the phone all the time I'd fall for it.
 
You got a name of the rep? Business card?

I've heard this $29.99/no fee rumor from a bunch of folks, and when I inquired I was told it was not true....

And since I am now, as of the May directory the only FTD shop within 20+ miles I feel I deserve a rate reduction myself.
 
I wouldn't take that offer if it was free. FTD is notorious for low introductory rates, then jacking the price after several months. If this rep said there are no other fees, I'd ask to see it in writing. FTD has a ton of extra fees. You are much better off taking their credit card orders. PS: as of the end of the month, we are FTD-free! Woo-hoo!

Have a good friend who is waiting for the contract. $29.99/month no extra fees for "life"....she'll even get her old member #. Am waiting also to see the contract.

Boss, I am also the only FTD member for a 30 mile radius, oops, there was another one in my town for a couple of months but he
got booted out for nonpayment.
I pay $49.99 a month dues & have for years. Don't have any other listings, ads, etc. I send many more than I receive each month, so my rebate pays for my fees. I do have Merc.
