Just curious what wire service do the majority of this message belong to? and are there any message boards provided by any of the wire services? Thanks, annamarie

FTD here, for now anyway...

And as far as I know there are no WS propoganda BBs left...

Here's the place to be !

I "think"...FTD would have been wise...

to have it's Bulletin Board OPEN for business!!
As it stands, there are NO MORE WS boards available, and NOW it's places like FlowerChat, FloristChannel, and Floristboard, that will be the places for serious discussion!!
We are still FTD, we dropped TF, our bottom line jumped UP!!
Something is "brewing".....will know pretty soon, be patient, ACTIVELY explore "other" avenues of transferring orders, and REALLY START considering the "TOTAL COST PER ORDER" within a wire service framework!!

I use neither FTD or TF. I call direct, florist to florist and give a credit card over the phone. My net went up 42% after dropping TF and I will know soon about my net as I dropped FTD end of December. actually they dropped me...but that is another story.

(F)lorist (W)ith (A) (C)lue who does the MATH!. Net ALL those PROFITS!.

Our net went way up when we dropped FTD a couple years ago. TF provides the best cost per order that I can figure for our business, and we're quite happy with the service. In our area, all the skimmers & OGs send FTD so dropping them all but eliminated the incoming crap. Now we just deal with florists, and our incoming is a very small % of our business.

We're in FTD, but we refuse orders from ftd.com, ordergatherers, etc. We will fill only for those who can reciprocate. Helped our sanity and bottom line immensely.

We have Mercury Advantage, and it is easy to send outgoing orders using FTD. That's the main reason we have remained. Can't imagine phoning out orders again, or retyping them into another internet-based system. We pay our clearing house bill on time, and take advantage of the rebates.

I have no loyalty to either one anymore.

We were with FTD for about 23 years and when we quit they never so much as said good-bye.

We were with both and after severe review and wisdom from these boards I knew we had to drop one.

I was actually going to stay with FTD since we had an FTD website and a huge FTD logo on our big sign out front. Just cheaper and easier to stay with FTD I thought.

When I sent my letter to TF informing them I was quitting they phoned me and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse if I stayed with them for another three months. I did.

It could be one or the other as far as I am concerned, but should be ONE or the OTHER. Hard to understand why one would NEED both. Not hard to realize many do including us for a long time, but after taking the to challenge to punch the numbers I could clearly see - you only NEED one.

Which one? - Not too big of a difference in my opinion.

If it wasn't for the habit I am in of using TF I would be with a much smaller AND CHEAPER wire service right now.

It's all a matter of time pretty much.

I actually been contemplating leaving FTD and actually talked to my FSR about it. I have till March 5 to make my official decision and now realizing that I only need one wire service. THe reason I picked FTD is because of my teleflora ties with Daisy and I like their codified product.
If I was to leave FTD, It will be in good terms in case things are different for me in the future.
My decision is to Save what I built so far and want to keep it for a long time.

FTD and Teleflora here - we've been contemplating dropping Teleflora here.

FTD here...just dropped TF. Only one service is needed...and I wonder if that's true down the road.

We are FTD and Teleflora but after crunching the numbers, analyzing the services that are of benefit to us, and based upon the advice of other florists who have done the same thing, we are dropping Teleflora at the end of April. Though we will see a drop in incoming wire orders, we should also see an increase in net profits.

Well now...

We just celebrated our 44th year in the Biz (did you know that shadow?) and for our Birthday present to ourselves we just got out of being with any Wire Service.

BN is still in our thoughts just not yet while were completely changing our biz structure.

Everyone has a choice. Choose which is best for you not what others think is best for you.
