I just updated my FTD website through the new portal options.. just a reminder to those that use the FTd website that it is easy and quick to update your front page, or any page and lots of other thiings now with this portal page.
I find that the promotional pieces I show on my front page get close to 90% of the orders..that means it is easy to predict what arrangements & flowers I will need for the holiday..
Also it is easy to delete pictures you do not want to offer or upload your own in-store products.

For all you other website guys that are doing your own,,please ignore this posting as you all do you own thing already..

thanks although I have tried this it does not work for me, (the stupid pass code!) but since I pay the service I just call and have them change it for me!
Hopefully after the holiday I can sit down with them on phone and get it to let me in....

The pass code needs to be changed maybe every month or 2.. for some reason that is a requirement of the system and that might be why you can't log in...but it is worth the learning curve.. makes this site much more 'stand out ish' and has made a world of difference on my weborder numbers

Just wondering.... What portal are you talking about? Are you referring to www.myftdsite.com? We have the advanced (not basic) hosting from FTD, and I didn't know such dramatic changes were possible.

I email [email protected] for all small changes, and I think they're getting annoyed by me. Well, they should be. I email very often.... sent three emails yesterday. I would rather do it myself since I am familiar with HTML.

Yup, that is the one.. it takes just a little time to figure it out.. and they have added lots of changes like the pop up etc.
I have never had anyone at FOL get peeved at me for asking questions or asking them to do it..that is what they are paid for and they are always very helpful to me..but I love the idea of doing it myself 'real time'
also I hate to wait on hold..

I too used to e-mail the with all kinds of stuff (holiday specials, etc.).

Once you set up the pass code, you're set. If you need to call FOL and have them help you.

I TOTALLY use the new portal. Was changing stuff (pop-up display) every couple hours on Monday & Tuesday - all based on delivery issues with the storm. Kept my customers up to date on what was happening with our ability to take orders. Knowing just a little HTML goes a LONG way!

Adding your own designs is a cinch too. Just create a product code, and fill in the blanks. Upload your pictures and it goes live in seconds.
