Had a very large funeral this weekend, for a farmer. Family brought pecans on the branch, corn husks and raw peanuts out of the ground and asked me to create a casket spray. Boy, was it great to do something like this, I love this type of a funeral. He was a avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing and hunting as well as farming. Here's a couple of picks, I wish every funeral was creative like this.....

Beautiful! It's wonderful when people let you help design something that truly represents the deceased.

I also love that your FD allows you to take pics in the room - mine gets a little freaked out, until I assure him I'll be sure there is no one present, or visible in the pics. I'm still trying to push his limits a little, when it comes to flowers!

Jean... absolutely gorgeous. I too loved it when I was given free rein in funeral work (happens more often in funeral work than any other occasion). You captured the scene beautifully.

One of my favourites was along the same line. I incorporated wood, bark and fungi I had picked up along the way. It too was a fall theme which made me very happy indeed. :)

The family was so happy that I had used things important to their Dad. It was one of my favourites.

Jean, that's beautiful! It is very touching when a family trusts you to create something personal to memorialize their loved one. I can't think of a better tribute for someone than a personalized spray.

My two most favorite sprays were personal. One had candles and the other had over 100 butterflies of different shapes, sizes and colors. I love doing personalized sprays...I wish more families in our area would opt for them.

I love the casket spray!!
Maybe the best one I've ever seen.
Thank you for sharing.

Love it!
The peanuts are great! We get to use them quite a bit round here! Keep up the good work!

Love the look of that with all of the natural elements, love the green pecans sticking out of it too. You did a very nice job!

That was an absolutely beautiful creation of floral artistry. You should be proud of that. That is a design worthy of going onto a portion of your website showcasing how creative you can be when allowed.

Great Job

Great JOb!!! I love it when they bring things in and want you to incorporate them into the casket spray!!! Very good job!!!!:blowkiss:
