The wife said that TV news this morning had a segment was saying that in 20 years the oil requirements could be up 50% .......mainly due to large population countries like China & India now getting a middle class that would have some sort of vehicle. And that gas could be as much as $7.00 in 2010. While they might have painted the worst case on this....regardless, we are in for some rocky times.

Have been working on my Tahoe...we have it up to 22 MPG city and 26 highway...next is a Super Charger and a Cool Box, shooting for 30 on the highway...

heck, maybe I'll just put a blower on the thing

It is world demand outpacing supply. Liberals won't let the US oil companies drill in the u.s. or offshore.

also, there is this country west of you, that happens to be gobbling up oil and other energy resources at an alarming rate. Why would they do this? so you can buy your baskets, your plastic containers and now your glass cheaper than it can be produced here in the U.S.

oh yea, do you think China is going out, exploring, drilling and finding new resources for energy? Hell yea they are. Do you think they care if some ducks get heavy crude on the feathers? NOPE!

Why doesn't the U.S. companies do the same?

If you think Obama is going to solve the energy problems, you're wrong.

His solution is that Americans need to consume less, while the world consumption increases.

His other solution is to tax big oil!

What the hell will that do? Taxing "big oil" won't make gas prices drop.

Just give more money to politicians to squander on useless programs.

Redistribution of wealth won't solve any problems and that is what O is all about.
