Sometimes it makes me wonder how some florists survive........

Last month sent an order out via teleflora to a florist 30 miles from here, they don't have a Dove so we phoned it out.
Checked our statement and they double billed us, so I gave them a call instead of just sending in an adjustment without giving them a heads up. They told me they would look after it an call Teleflora so I would get a credit on my next statement, I said fine and marked my statement so we would be sure to look for the adjustment on the next statement.
This morning in the mail I received a cheque from the florist with a note on it re: duplicate order..........

Heres the stupid part, the order was for $47.75 so they got at most 37.46 from Teleflora for the duplicate order...........the cheque they sent to me was for......50.00 so they are giving away 12.54

And no this is not a new shop, they have been in business as long as I've owned our shop, and that's 37 years!!

tAKE IT AND RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know you are right but sometimes out of good things, Some of us tend to do that type of thing. It is called great Karma, So sometimes it no always as is, They and you will be truely blessed in the long run. as of today, I had a florist wanting a 100.00 standing spray, and no one would fill it, or even designer choice, So of course we did the thing, the two hours later, We got a great treat if Chocolate Dipped Strawberrys, so even still unexpected, So that shop will be getting lots of things from us in the future . So life is so full sometimes, that we don't always remember that, You are a great man So they knew this, from your respect you gave them , and they gave it back to you,

Hugs and Blessings to you..

John, I KNOW it bothers you a lot, so Luc and I have devised a plan!!.....we send you 2 SELF ADDRESSED envelopes with proper postage attached, and divvy the "overage" in half, and send each of us your burden...we will honour you with great accolades and hooplah...you WILL BE REWARDED FULLY in your "next" life, as ONLY ONE OF US, will personally greet you at the pearlies.....

Mikey,
I did'nt want that posted here, too many people seeing it and wanted a share.

Now what can we buy with the money????
How many beers and hot dog at a football game will it get us?

I wonder how many out there think they get 100% of an incoming order?

I've certainly ran into them.

I bet the percentages would be shocking.

Oh I am willing to bet many....so many....OH boy the thought is just overwhelming...I have met them...

You'd be surprised. No, you wouldn't! There are so many who only look at their statements long enough to see if they are getting a check or if they owe money. They remain unfazed by attempts to explain.

This reminds me of a thread I started a while back. ( I can't work out how to add a link to the thread but it was called "Would You?" ....... sorry you'll have to search it if you want to look:hammer:) Perhaps someone could add it for me:smoke

I polled a scenario faced by 1000's of florists executing relay orders on a daily basis. The figures were true at the time of writing here in the UK for those executing orders for FTD but I'm sure are reflective similarly by others worldwide.

100% said they wouldn't do it (not truly representative as there were only 19 votes :)).

I'm a great believer that there are many that have little or no clue as to what they receive for an incoming order .......... HOW DO THEY SURVIVE??????????????????

OK, I have come across many, many FWOAC regarding correct Interflora procedures, but you are all seriously telling me there are florists who think they are getiing 100% of the order value? Did I read this correctly or am I the FWOAFC?

You read it right Todd.

Guess I'm clueless here... what the heck does FWOAC mean???

Florist Without A Clue

Then you can add that extra F to it and you get, well you know.....

LOL, yep, I know. Thanks, Jon. You're so kind to help me out with these things.
