New tool, just released: GetListed.org

It will quickly check if you have claimed your local listings, and give you links to help claim them if you haven't.

Example using Expressions In Bloomz

I'm interested in feedback - anyone tried it yet?

....already claimed on 'yahoo' and 'google'. Working on 'best of the web'?(never heard of them) and 'live search'(microsoft, I assume).

Thanks for the push!

ok

Worked fine on home pc, go figure, I was at 70%, I was surprised though, i have so many reviews on Yahoo, but no citations on Yahoo, but plenty on google, so kinda confused. I read about citation suggestions, and I am listed all over Insider pages, Superpages, etc, so why arent my citations showing on Yahoo? Any advice?

hmm, was listed at 70% so claimed my BOTW listing but Dashboard has my old email address. (so I addressed that problem!)
Will see what happens tomorrow...Thanks

Interesting find - little confused as to why it's telling me we haven't claimed our google listing (when we have 2 set up). I'll try and figure out that tomorrow.

good tip, though, and I'm going to try & use it for telling local chamber members to get on the ball & get their listings claimed!

...what is 'best of the web'? never heard nor seen them before. They a search aggregator?

What ever happenned to the ?dmoz? or something like that? In the old days we were encouraged to sign up via them. tried but never heard a peep out of that site.

BOTW is one of the oldest and most respected directories on the internet. (Sidenote: they also throw some of the best search bash parties!!) Last year they launched their local directory, which quickly achieved citation status on Google - a clear sign of the authority of that site. BOTW has hired a lot of the best people who used to edit DMOZ.

DMOZ is still around, and still has a decent level of authority. It can be hard to get listed, though.
