I have 2 wedding ceremony pieces to do today using a 2 1/2 foot cylinder vase. I am surrounding the interior w/ ti leaves and using delph, hydrandea, lizzies, dalias, callas, hanging amaranthus. I need height for the flowers. The pieces will be placed on wine barrels outside. I tried adding 5 lbs of river rocks and still need some more height. I would love some suggestions.

how about branches twisted down in there.

Or myrtle.

or ginger.

Are you opposed you just using a Lomey dish and foam? You could just make the arrangment in the foam and set the dish on top and cover the mechanics with the amaranthus. (If it is outside, secure the dish with glue dots to prevent a wind gust from blowing it off/ over and keep the rocks in the base or extra weight.) This seems like the easiest way to get height/ fullness with the same amount (or less) flowers.

Or the branches like the PP suggested.

Thanks Fat Cat for the branches suggestion. I'm not sure it will work with the ti leaves.

Queen & Mocha Rose....great idea with the lomey. However, the vase is going to be place on a wine barrel (approx. waist level) & don't need that much height & it is very windy in this area.

Great suggestions! I'm still at a loss

Then I would get some river rock and weight them down as well, I do them outside all the time and really had any problems with blow overs..
