I hope all of you had a good May. I'm curious to know how sales were compared to last year. Ours were about even. Wire service orders were down. We saw gains on our direct orders via advertising.

My incoming from FTD is at a ridicuously low point compared to where it was 2 years ago. I called their local rep and the answer I received is that the shops that buy FTD technology systems, get preferential treatment from FTD.com. I am one of the only FTD florists left in a city of 75,000. yet I get maybe one or two incoming orders a day. I was told that one florist that bought their technology gets 60% of all orders to our city.
Why in the heck do we continue to support them to compete against us?
I'm dropping them asap. I think all florists need to actually look at their fees and discounts and figure out...is it really worth wasting your gas to lose money carrying your competition?
