Hi, my name is Maureen Wilson. I am the owner and lead designer for Glendale Flowers & Gifts in Glendale, Arizona. We are a small, family owned full service florist operating out of about 1,000 sf of the cutest little historic bldg you've ever seen. We specialize in premium quality fresh floral designs, green plants, and custom silks. Our largest segment of work is related to sympathy as we are within a mile of 2 cemeteries and 4 funeral homes.
I am a member of the Arizona state floral association and certified as a master florist. Though considered an embryo to the industry by some (I've owned my shop just 4+ years) , I have 30 years experience managing other people's businesses. I hope that my knowledge of cost control and profit/loss accountability is of value to the group and that I can continue to learn more about the nuances of the floral industry from the other members.
Of all the jobs I've ever had in my life, this is by far the hardest and the most rewarding.
