I purchased these inexpensive ornaments (they remind me of the Jetsons or an atom if you're one of those brainy people) they are basically fish line or filiment covered in glitter. I would like to use them for rental centerpieces just after Thanksgiving and then hopefully still sell them for Christmas. My worry is the glitter will totally breakdown in the water. Is there anything I could use on them to prevent this? I was thinking tac 2000 would make them tacky.
I would also use a fresh amyrillis not artificial.

You might try Design Master Drezden Clear Glaze or a similar lacquer-type spray but it will be difficult to entirely coat the whole ornament - and the cost may outweigh simply replacing them.

Have you been testing them? Do a plunge for at last a week and leave it in the cooler.

I got mine from CRI. Their # 203-380-2000. My rep has a traveling showroom. It's also where I purchase most of my silks. I have them in gold, silver, and green. The garlands are realy cute too.

oh I so want some of those. Do you think Jacobson Floral supply would ship?

Just wanted to let you know - it was a fail. While the glitter stayed the glue that held the filiments to the center didn't. You can't pull it out of the vase without it coming apart.
