Glittering branches

Pretty simple, right?

We have an excess of birch branches that we'd like to glam up for the halloween and christmas season and would like to glitter them .

We've tried this in the past and seem to have a hard time finding the right adhesive that keeps the glitter on. It always seems to easily shed off after we adhere the glue.

Any tips or suggestions (other than just buying them glittered ha ha )

If you are planning on using them for Halloween, I would spray adhesive again after glittering, you might be able to get a spooky, webby effect and still get that extra adhesion.
