What is the best type of glue to adhere ribbon to glass???

The vases will eventually be filled with water and in cooler over night....So I know hot glue is out...I was thinking lomey adhesive but that takes forever to dry and not sure if it is only plastic to plastic....Is Oasis floral glue going to work?? Should I be looking in the craft store and get something like gorilla glue?? Please if anyone has already done the footwork on this one, I could use the help before I buy 14 types of glue and get high off all the combined fumes...

How about Kling?
We used it recently to glue glass to a tin can ... worked great!

I will keep that in mind, Tracy.. Not sure if the ribbon is going to be a sheer type that you would see cling through...By the way, I am not a fan of cling...although it is the perfect tool for some jobs...

Double Stick Tape (Oasis)

Oasis, or Elmers or someother wood glue.

Don't use Gorilla Glue.

I like the double stick tape idea!

What's wrong with gorrilla glue??? Does it discolor, run, not dry???

This so far seems like the simplest.....Thanks

if you ever have a problem with waiting for glue to dry. then attach whatever you is that you want to glue to each other and hold in place with a string so that once its dry you just take the string off and you dont have to sit there holding it whilst its drying.

I find the 3M double sided tape is the best. I attach ribbons to my vases every week and that's what I use. Any other type of glue is too runny and I don't really have the time to wait for it to dry... Plus it leaves some marks on the ribbon. I find the double stick tape from Oasis is great for flowers and aisle runners, but I find it too bulky for ribbon on vases.

If you use the double sided tape (only 3M), make sure to attach the ribbon to the vase before putting it in the fridge.

I've even washed out the vases I attached ribbon too and the tape did not come off!

I hope this helps!
Julie :)

ditto this advice.

I have some leftover vases from a wedding 2 years ago, with lace and ribbon attached with double sided tape that still look great. (used them dry).
