Haven't been to one in a looong time. I will let you guys know what kind of tips I get. It's Patrick Creed, AIFD from Fond du Lac, he's got some good ideas from what I remember from seeing him years ago.

Well, what did I learn. Saw some neat designs, unfortunately didn't have camera, do have a notebook full of my "artistic renderings".

He charges $100 for consultations, says he loses no business, that there are 6 other florists in his (small) town who don't charge but he's busy as can be. Also mentioned contractors, plumbers, etc. who won't come out and look at anything for free. Good point.

I guess that was the most interesting part.

Um, well.... he said the color combos red and lime green, as well as copper and brown will be popular this Christmas... I must be brain dead I can't think of much of what he said. Most of it was the designs, which I really should've taken pics of :dunce
