I want to design an arr on a tripod of golf clubs. However I can't get the clubs to stay put. I have used zip ties to tie them together. Should I wire the clubs at the bottom (or the top) to keep them from spreading apart.

TIA!

Heh... yep it's a trick for sure.

We do this design about once a month, and I have found the easiest way is to take about 6 pieces of 24 gauge wire and wrap them all together with corsage tape. Attach it to one club, then "weave" it around and back and forth through them all. This will keep them together. They really only stand up well on carpet and after you put the Oasis ring around them. The ring will hold them in place somewhat.

If you need more than that, give me a call...

Well its done and gone and I forgot to get a picture - darn it. It's been that kind of morning.

I ended up zip tying and wiring all three clubs at their junction and then I wired a cage onto all three clubs above that. That was the base for the arr. (Mark I would love to see yours with the wreath - just couldn't picture it this morning -it is truly brain dead Thursday)

then I took three brown sticks and wired them at the end of the clubs at the floor - like a wire easel. that puppy wasn't going anywhere.

thanks for the help!

Mark, that is stunning. Wow.

Have a great day...

thanks for that! I did get a picture hehe. My driver also made a pick up (my hubby) at the airport on his way to the funeral home - He got a pic with his digital camera. :)

Thanks guys, but I can't take credit for the design... don't remember where I got it, either the Florist Review Sympathy CD's or John Henry....but it sells...

We get the clubs at either the Goodwill Store or the Salvation Army, usually $0.50 each, maybe a buck for drivers, and then use a 10" Oasis ring...

My drivers don't like them so much :)

Very cool!! Thanks going to use that for a fund raiser golf outing I'm doing in June.
