I just jumped ship from Mozilla. Since this last upgrade my CPU has been spiking to 100% and freezing everything. I couldn't believe how slow everything was loading and it's my new computer. The turtle at home was looking like the hare.

After reading up on fixes that weren't working someone suggested chrome. So today I download and launched.
I'm still finding my way but I sure like the customized link bar so my flowerchat is right there....

anyone else had any problems with Mozilla?

Are you talking about Mozilla, or FireFox? There is a difference.

We use Mozilla on the PC's we connect to MAS, and have had no issues. I use FireFox all day everyday and had no issues there either.

I also use Chrome... quick, lightweight program. You may want to try Opera 10, very good platform, similar to function as FireFox, but different.

sorry firefox. I thought my computer was going to lift off and fly with the cpu working at 97-100% Now using chrome it's at about 7%

oh and I can't believe how much faster I am zipping around the net.

Even if it's a "new" computer, you may want to run a Disk Clean Up and De-fragment it just to get stuff in order, since you downloaded new stuff...

we have those scheduled weekly along with daily virus etc scans. Any other ideas are welcome. After reading about this cpu issue I am in the same boat with many, but there doesn't seem to be any one fix for the problem.

Which version of FF?
3.6.2 (which is current) runs the same as previous versions. I have had it hang when using Web Developer add-on but I think that's an isolated issue.

BTW, everyone should look at their own website in Safari, IE, FF and Chrome. I can't tell you how many things were broken when I viewed our site in IE.
