Gotti funeral flowers

I just stumbled on this tonight. I thought some of the flowers for John Gotti's funeral were pretty interesting... some very elaborate. Check out this site:

Thought the huge cigar was pretty unusual.

I can understand the symbolisim of Light but smoke.

I liked picture number nine. The guy is holding a candle a very symbolic gesture given the symbolisim of light at a funeral but at the the same time he is having a smoke.

You now see people leaving a funeral home after a service and they have this dual motion thing happening, going for their smokes and going for their cell phones.

Love it! I remeber it well I lived there at the time. I was young and impressed with how 'big' it all was. Now I can look at it and think about all the work those flower designers put into those items. It may have looked a bit like a circus but it takes things like that to bring about a re-birth of thought about funeral flowers.

THere were some incredible designs there.......shows some real thought and creativty to come up with some of those types of designs.

LOL You better believe those designers where shaking in their shoe's trying to get those set pieces just as perfect as possible. It was all a job well done.
