Groaned at ?

I was just checking my profile and i noticed that i was groaned at for my 'Rude but Funny ' joke ! i just wondered what this means,is it like the old red dot system ? If so, just wondered why someone would go into a thread about jokes, especially one titled 'Rude', if you dont have a rude sense of humour ? Jeeeez ???? was my joke too rude ? Good job i didnt put the REALLY rude ones on then ! LOL
