With all the excitement in our lives right now, I almost forgot--today is The Bloomery's 10th Anniversary! Feb 1, 1998 marked our first day in the business.

I was still working at UAB, and my labmates asked me what I was getting for Kathy. The look on their faces when I told them "3000 roses" was priceless. We maxed out my Gold Mastercard on the V-Day orders. It was terrifying.

Thanks to all our friends for the good advice over the years--Boss, CHR, Cheryl, bloomz, Erlene and everyone else who has touched our lives over the past decade. Looking forward to many more years ahead.
 
Awesome Rich and Kathy! Congrats - we'll have to celebrate at the Breakers next September! Yup planning on being there and hope you are too!

Congratulations to both of you on 10 years, it is an important milestone!! We celebrated 10 years last summer!

And are you getting her a piece of Mother's jewelry this year?!? :)

10 years is a great number to reach - especially in this day and age in the flower biz. You're doing it right! Keep on going!!!

Our store's anniversary is in April. We're just a few more years older than you...90 to be exact.

We are 100 years this year... 1908 - 2008
4 Generations.

Wow! That is awesome! You're older than even FTD! Even more impressive is making it past the third generation "curse" that kills most family businesses. I hope you have something more special planned than we did.

Funny thing, My husband is the date rememberer in my family, too. He will always remind me it is our anniversary and how many blissful years we have been together...I rarely remember the amount, I do remember the date albeit sometimes not until the afternoon, I do remember...Luckily he is not a chick and doesn't get bent out of shape and make me sleep in the dog house or buy him diamonds for forgetting..

Thanks, everyone! 10 years seems unbelievably short, but we've done so much. Crazy.
 
Awesome especially since you are planing on "increasing" your staff ....It is amazing when you look back at how far you have come, how many lives you have impacted and how dear you are to all of us!Best wishes for a great celebration to both of you!
