Happy 234th Birthday to our United States Marine Corps.

For any of you old grunts and jarheads out there, meet me down at Tunn Tavern since I'm on slop shoot detail and so, I'm buying!

For all you good looking women out there, be sure to HUG a Marine today and thank all of our servicemen and women tomorrow for their Service and Sacrifice for our Country.

As a rule, I learned never to volunteer for anything in the Corps, but in this case, TOTO can make an exception for HUGS from the WOMEN!

Semper Fi! Ooh Rah!

Happy Birthday!!!

My Uncle and driver, a disabled purple hearted Viet Nam marine Sargent, has a colonoscopy on this one of the most important days of his year( he holds this day in higest regard as high as his own birthday)...Please wish him luck as he had colon cancer last year and this is his first follow-up...

To all Marines, thank you for your service and your never ending dedication to your brothers, I am always amazed at how deep the brotherhood runs and how loyal you remain as a group.... Semper Fi!

Good Luck Marine!

Tell your Uncle that, this Old Marine wishes him good luck.

Also tell him, I'm sure they were able to extract that old can of C-RATS from his tush so, he should be good to go. Nothing worse than having a can of Ham and Em n Effers still stuck in the upper intestines for over forty years. Semper Fi from another boocoo dinkey dow Marine.

Happy Birthday to the U.S.M.C.

Happy Birthday
to all the Marines

Past, Present and Future.

I like the line from "Full Metal Jacket" something to the effect "the Marine Corp will last forever, therefore you will last forever!

I am proud to say. . .

My Dad is a Marine! 87 and still a Marine.

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering
if they've made a difference. The Marines don't
have that problem."

President Reagan did quote this in 1985 and I agree.

God Bless your Dad!

God Bless your Dad at 87 years young!

We Marines use the phrase OLD SALT to imply that, some older marines (short timers) have more on the commode than some of the new marines have in the Corps!

Tell your Dad what I said, as I'm sure it will bring a smile to his face! Once a Marine, always a MARINE!

Thanks Hal, not that we ever needed an excuse....

Hey Hal! First up, thank you for your service to our great Country!

Second up, when did either one of us need a reason to hoist one up with each other at the closest slop shoot, aka: PUB/BAR. Those were the days my friend, and I miss them dearly.

Semper Fi Hal and GO ARMY!

Happy birthday to a proud Corps, and rightfully so!

TOTO, you are so right about always being a Marine. My young Marine cousin got married to a gal who persuaded him to leave the Corps. He was miserable, and that was just one way that she made him miserable. He's now divorced and back in the Corps, happy as a lark, and chomping at the bit to get out of the recruiting office and back into action in the Middle East.

There is nothing more handsome than a man in a military uniform. I want to simply stand up in honor of each one that I see.

Thank you, Marines. Thank you to all of our service men and women, past, present, and future. It is because of you that we have those three things as we do.

Thanks Connie!

Your story about your cousin is too funny!

Can't remember who made this statement in one of the Marine Corps Movies, perhaps GSgt R. Lee Ermey?

" If the Marine Corps wanted you to have a wife, it would've issued you one! "

And we Marines do love Lee Ermey!

http://www.rleeermey.com/

Being married is tough enough. Being married to a MAN is almost impossible for most wives. Being able to stay married to a Marine is a MIRACLE!

Just ask Aileen or AVFlorist and my own Sgt Major, The Lovely Linda.

To all you former servicemen, thank for all you did and do!

I have two uncles who were former Marines and both say the corp 'saved' their lives. They were trouble youths and learned discipline and dedication - and the lessons carried them both to successful life-long careers after the military.

We've had a salute to Veterans on our sign board all week and I've been amazed at how many people stopped in to say 'thanks'. :)
