Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday, I am being so selfish for the first time, I am closing up for a few days, cause the girls, and I are so out of it, and we all need it, so bad, I know you are not supposed to close, but hey we are all going on vapors of nothing at this time, it is a darn shame that I can sit on one of my sofa in the shop and drop off to sleep, Is this a sign of getting old???? Enjoy the Cape! Don't forget to plan extra time for the traffic down there this week. And bring an umbrella, it's still rainy and cool but they expect it to clear for the weekend.

Everyone enjoy the time off. I took off to Tenn. last weekend and so loved my time away. Looking forward to my pool at home and the grill,and family.

Happy Fourth to Thom and everyone. Enjoy the holiday with your family or friends.

Leaving Friday at noon for a week in the Poconos! Haven't spent a summer week there since I was a teenager. I am definitely a beach gal, but I am looking forward to a week with just my family boating on the lake and lounging by the pool. Beach houses are always a little chaotic with the extended family, it will seem so quiet.

I do have internet access - phew. I can't bring my pup (rental, no dogs allowed). That will be the hardest part. Haven't had a morning run without her in almost a year. I'm sure I will run much slower without her to keep up my pace.

Off in the morning to a sleepy town in Florida named Bellview...we just got a nice wedding and reception there last week. Never understand how you plan for 250 people and order decor in 2 weeks. Thank goodness it was us!
So no bar b ques or picnic, just hanging fabric, draping and hanging the chandliers, drip a few garland here and there, 10 attendants, and a composite of casablanca lilies...the nightmare of all...

I will be heading out on Saturday for a week long vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Need this BAD! Starting to get grumpy and I'm not a grumpy kind of person!

Can't wait to sit on the beach and watch the big fireworks show over the water...it's an incredible sight!

I'll be at a concert here in Merriam helping set up for the 35th Infantry Division Band. They are the finest young men and women you could ever hope to know. The make us all proud with their musical talents and dedication to our Country.
