Gee another Birthday Party!

Happy Happy and Happy Birthday to you both.

BBJ, I see George Post a few times on the board. I don't know if he is limited to where he can post or maybe he just decided to limit his posting.

Anyway all best wishes to them on this special day.

Luc

Happy Birthday to the both of you,
Audra

Thank you for the birthday wishes.
For the past 3½ months I have only been allowed to read and post to the flowerSoft, chat, jokes and political forums.
flowerSoft's name was taken from the top of the technology section list (by virtue of being the first one there), to the bottom of the list and the MAS name was put at the top of the list. Later on the names were re-arranged in some inexplicable order, and flowerSoft's name was moved to the penultimate position on the list. Makes you wonder what the Eagle people said about MAS :boggles:.
My ability to upload screen-shots was curtailed to the point where in order to upload anymore I would have to delete all or most of the existing ones. This hampers my ability to explain solutions to problems or to show new features to my users.
The flowerSoft forum, which was previously open to all, members and non-members, was closed to non-members because, it was claimed, it might "confuse" them.
All this was supposedly due to my participation in a thread that was becoming an embarrasement to the MAS camp. A thread where some posts loaded with insults and derrogatory remarks not by me, but by users and employees of MAS. These other participants were "punished" by not being able to post in the flowerSoft forum. A really equitable punishment, don't you think?
Then again, since this board is controlled by MAS employees, I guess they have to protect their interests. I see they are making indents on the "other" board also, as some MAS-related posts were "moved" to a different area. I guess it was done so that the readers will not get "confused" by the tough questions being asked there.
The truth of the matter is that I no longer have an interest in posting to the other forums here. Not as long as there is censorship and one cannot express himself or herself freely without the fear of being "punished" again.
I'll just keep posting and helping our users in the flowerSoft forum (for which I'm very grateful to Ryan) since it keeps me out of trouble and makes me a lot more productive in the development of new features for flowerSoft.
Again, thanks again for all the birthday wishes.

@@@@ it, George ... I took Luc's advise and gave you a birthday "release" if you will ... and this is the result? Phooey ... lies and mis-information.

The FlowerSoft forum swapped places with the POS general forum to have the generic listing ahead of all the specific forums. Made more sense.

The only people banned from the FS forum were the goofs (yes, some were MAS users) who were disrupting an otherwise useful and productive forum.

Your ability to upload screen caps was not curtailed as you say - you ran out of room. Every user has an upload quota. A simple request for more space would have been sufficient.

I'm sick of the bitter paranoid rantings on this issue - FS is not a threat or concern to MAS. Also, MAS never has nor will run this board or me.

It wasn't Luc, it was Big Bad John
Phooey ... lies and mis-information.
Can you point out the lies, please?

flowerSoft was at the top of the list. It was then moved to the bottom of the list and MAS was put at the top of the list. Are you going to tell me this not true? It was then changed again to its current form. flowerSoft is still next to last on the list. How is the list arranged, alphabetically? chronologically by date of inception? How?

The only people banned from the FS forum were the goofs (yes, some were MAS users) who were disrupting an otherwise useful and productive forum.
Prior to your "changes", anyone visiting FlowerChat could see and read (not post) all of flowerSoft's threads. You then changed it so that they could not see the flowerSoft posts, claiming that it was "confusing" the visitors. You don't remember that? I still have your PM on that matter.

Your ability to upload screen caps was not curtailed as you say - you ran out of room. Every user has an upload quota. A simple request for more space would have been sufficient.
Again, something that happened immideately after your "changes". I went back and deleted dozens of screen shots and still could not upload new ones. Is it that when you delete existing screen shots you don't recover they space they used?

This is something I've always said. MAS and flowerSoft do not compete for the same customers. RTI, Advantage, MAS, FAS and maybe Daisy compete for the same customers as they cost more or less the same. My competition may be more Visual Ticket than MAS or the others.
I guess what I'm guilty of is not letting MAS claim they are the best at everything without having to prove any of it. Maybe MAS is the best but maybe it is not. All I ever asked for was a comparison. Let's compare and then let the readers decide. Somehow I could never get anyone to agree to a comparison. I wonder why. Heck, if I had the best florist software I'd be looking to compare against anyone, wouldn't you?
You say that MAS never has nor will run this board for you, and that is true. However, all these "changes" came about after you switched your allegiance from Daisy and Teleflora to MAS and FTD, didn't they? The thread that resulted in my "punishment" was about MAS, wasn't it? Look at it from where I stand. It might not be the case, but it certainy looks like it.

Sigh ... so sick of this. Can't argue with unreasonable people. This is over.

Ryan

Who's arguing?
I'm pointing out facts and hoping you would answer the questions.
I guess you don't want to.
It's OK, it is your board.

Well Happy Birthday anyway to both of you!

I always did like to get the last word in, LOL....so now someone will have to post after me to show me that I can't always get the last word :)
