We will all mourn Harry...Sandie was the very last to earn the distinction of the Annual Harry Cholakis Award, and to be personally presented by Harry!!

It saddens me to bring you this news.
On Monday July 16th, 2007, we lost a friend and fellow florist in Mr. Harry Cholakis.
The service was held on Wednesday.
I spoke to Harry’s nephew Costa and he told me that Uncle Harry wanted to go out without a splash.
It was his wish to have a quiet and private service.
The family granted his wishes.

Harry will be missed, he was a mentor to many, never at a loss for words and always told it like it was.
The Ontario Conference was Harry's brain child and was a success the very first year as part of the then member owned FTD.

Our industry has lost a great competitor and motivator!

It's a sad year for the Canadian floral landscape. Three pioneers, Harry, Nick Lye and Bill Martin all lost in 5 months.

I remember running into Harry often at "The Clock" and he always want to chat and share some wisdom.
