I was wondering if anyone has attended a Teleflora design class in Oklahoma City. I just signed up for The Sympathy design class April1-5. It's taught by Jerome Laska. I've attended several unit programs and always have enjoyed Jerome's presentations. I'm looking forward to this class and meeting fellow florists. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with these classes. Thanks!

Do you mean Jerome Raska? He is incredible, he is the first TF education specialist I ever saw do a program. You will enjoy him. I have not attended the classes personally but am involved in the units program for TF and anyone we've ever awarded a scholarship to has raved and raved about what they learned.

Rhonda on this board had an employee go to the Ed. Center and I roomed with her one weekend at an event, she so loved going and said she learned a tremendous amount.

I attend every design program that I can, and have always enjoyed and learned from each one. Jerome is especially good, just brimming with good ideas.

if it is Jerome Raska

You will get your moneys worth and more.

I took a hand tied class taught by Jerome and came back with TONS of new ideas and helpful hints. Sharpen your pencil and bring a note book- you will need it.

Everyday Design

I attended the Everyday Design with Kevin Yslivaker (?sp) 2 years ago at TF ed center and it was worth every minute spent!! I am hoping to attend the shop management class this year.

A wedding workshop with Kevin was perhaps the most profoundly challenging to my point of view as a florist. I still look at the my photos of his work, read my notes, make my corsages as he taught (with some improvements of my own), and live by his words, "You can never lose money on a wedding that you do not get. You can only lose money on a wedding that you price too low."
