I went to delete an announcement that was over on google places and put a different announcement in its place. When I clicked on "view page" I noticed it showed it I was closed today. I looked at the information I have given google and it clearly shows open today.
I also noticed it no longer showed that I delivered so I changed that back to show my delivery areas, I redid the open hours , and pressed submit.
I went back and checked on google places and it now shows the delivery area again but still shows that I am closed today.
I went on google forum help but nobody has replied.
This is very frustrating. I don't know how this happened and how to fix it.
Has this ever happened to anybody else and if so how did you fix it? They do have the option of not showing your hours but I didn 't really want to do that but no hours would be better than showing closed.
Any help would be appreciated.

You double / triple checked that you input the right hours for Saturday?

Just checking - I have to ask.

Yes Ryan I did.It showed the right hours on my edit page. I tried to edit it three times with the right hours and always clicked the submit button. It didn't change. I just went in and clicked the "I prefer not to show my hours box" because I would rather google not show it than to say I am closed.
I looked again and it still shows I am closed even after I put not to show my hours and when you click on the hours box on google places it shows all the wrong hours and days closed. It is beyond frustating since you cant contact google to ask what is going on.
I just give up now. I've got too many orders to do. I just hope people click onto my website without checking the place page on google that says I am closed all the time.

I don't know about the problem you are having Dianne, but I had several people call to let me know that when they googled us and clicked on our web site link, they were redirected to another shop in town, not the same shop for everyone, just seemed a random shop. I asked our go-to guy for questions like this, and he said there is a virus going around that will do this. It's not just florist, but will find any competition.

Fortunately google places still clicks to my website. However it still shows I'm closed when I'm not even though I changed it to not show my hours at all so maybe thats some kind of virus too.Whatever it is it's pretty annoying since there is nothing I can do about it and I'll never know how much business I have lost so far because of it.After Valentines I'm going to check again to see if it shows that I am closed every day. If it does I'm not sure what to do about it since there is no way to contact google and the help forum doesn't work.
