Has anyone heard of Gold Medallion

There is a sales rep that keeps calling me about signing up with Gold Medallion. She tells me it isn't a wire service. You pay a flat fee once a year to be a member. You can send orders directly to other flower shops and not lose a percentage of the money to a wire service. When receiving orders you receive all of the money. Shops and people call you directly with the orders.
I was wondering what other flower shops thoughts were on this company?
Does anyone have anything positve or negative to say about this company. I was thinking about joining.

RUN... don;t look back.....not a member, never have been, but I doubt they have enuf order volume to even recoup the *flat fee*(TAX)...
 
Well... I've had the folks from Gold Medallion pestering me again this week. They kept offering me a money back guarantee!! So, I told them to put it in writing and fax it to me. I recieved a letter by fax and a phone call back in about an hour. The Gold Med. rep pretty much demanded a credit card right away, when I told him that I was not ready to make a knee jerk decision and I wanted to fax the letter to my attorney and he should call me back in a couple days, he told me the offer would not be valid after today. He asked again for my credit card # again. I told him again I need my attorney to read the letter first, he said the offer was now void and hung up on me. My advice... STAY AWAY from this company. If they are not honest enough to allow me to have my attorney review the guarantee then it's obvious this company is probably up to no good!
 
They must be beating the bushes again, called here too. Having had a very unsatisfactory experiance with them BF (before Flowerchat), I won't even talk to them.
 
Don't Join!!!!

Did , paid the money and never got a order , direct or thru other shops.
I even was stupid enough to pay the extra for the web advertising.
Tried after 2 mths to discontinue my membership and of course never could get to the right person., really any person for that matter.......
Reason I wanted to discontinue after 2 mths is when I got the directory, called several shops all over the country , some said they didn't know they were still members after 4 yrs ago, others said haven't been member in a couple of years but names still in directory. then several said it was big waste of money because they never recieved any direct orders from consumers or shop to shop orders.
Then had the gawl to call me this year like I had never been a member, I just let in to the women that called me, maybe I shouldn't of done that but it just really made my skin crawl to hear the sales pitch. I told her I had been a member back in 04 and nothing happened!!!! She apologised and said I am very shocked that you did not get 1 order. I told her do not call this shop again and take me off the call list then I hung up!
