I have been searching for an eco friendly cardette and came across Bamboo Swirl Picks by Pick on Us in California. I actually tried to order online just now but it wouldn't accept my postal code so I don't know if they will even ship to Canada from California and of course they are closed today. Then I got to thinking that maybe they don't even work well so I would appreciate any feed back if anyone has tried them.
I searched old posts but only found mention of florists making slits at the top of bamboo which I really would rather not do if something exits that works and is already done.
Has anyone tried this product?

Dianne,

I have not, but I'm highly interested too. I do have my doubts of whether or not they would hold the card snug enough. If you like, I would be willing to order them and split them, I can ship half to you. I was looking at the 9", that's the size I use most of...I would not want the 7.5" or the 18" until I know if they will work.

Let me know.

Thanks Linda,
That is what I am afraid of too. I'm just not sure they will hold the card snug enough. Lets wait until the end of next week and see if anyone else has already tried them. I was only going to try the minimum order ($20) incase they don't work well. I don't want to order the wholesale case of 5000 since I have never tried them before.I hope they do work because I am so sick of plastic and I have tried making my own but they are not perfect .

What conclusion did ya'll come to on the Pick on Us picks? I have been thinking for quite some time this would be cool, but couldn't find vendor.
Let me know your opinions. THanks.

I did get the cardettes and for the most part I am happy with them. I got several different sizes so I could use them for a full range of low to high designs.
My only concern is that they are not 100% secure. There is a difference in the degree of tightness so if the pick is shaken sometimes the card could fall out. In most normal circumstances they would be fine but I do not trust them with our local delivery service so I put a small piece of scotch tape on the back to make sure they do not fall out.
I still prefer them to the plastic ones and I don't regret trying them.I wish they were a bit snugger but I would still order them again.
