was listening to Sirius NASCAR channel 126 and a soldier called in with comments. Moody thanked him for his service and the soldier stated "am just doing my job".
Anyone who listens to MRN radio and NASCAR races or the Sirius channel knows Dave Moody is, well let's just say, very very very in tune to the soldiers who serve, have served, and will serve. His tone today to the soldier was emphatically "No, Sir........I Thank You and Your Buddies Serving For Me And Mine" (in Moody style...)
My granddaughter did a service project today, she helped place flags on veteran's graves at the cemetery. Her words (after she found two graves of people she knew - one her "Grampy" Carl and her former next door neighbor "Chief").....Hey, Nanny? There are so many service people buried here.... We (our town) have served our country very well.
I gave her a hug. (Her Mom is a Navy vet)...
