Have you ever tried.....

using any of these portable storage companies? The hubby and I were discussing the possibility of storing our stuff until March and then having it shipped to us. so I have been researching companies like P.O.D.S, S.A.M. and Pack Rat. Has anyone here ever used any of these services? If so what has been your experience?
I thought this would be a better idea for us money-wise instead of forking over the $1500 it would cost for a Uhaul during December. We are looking at moving out of the military housing on Jan. 2. Part of me says F-it just go with the Uhaul and the other part really likes that sotre it now/move it later deal.

Then are you paying $1500 in March to move your stuff????
If so, you might as well move it now then paying storage fees!

well either way we're paying...but right now paying the $1500 in December is going to be very hard on us(since we're still paying for military housing and our Illinois house) where as budget-wise storing fees are affordable to us and then in March we'll be in a better financial state....I get what you're saying and so that is the part where I am undecided....

Leenie, moving in the spring is going tobe a lot easier than moving in January.
I would put what I could in storage.
But that's just me.

I totally hear you Shannon....a good friend of mine was telling me to just sell all the furniture and just keep the necessities. I highly doubt this would be a good time to try to craigslist the stuff.
