This just looks like something my own family would do, with or without alcohol. Afterall, my brother and husband entered a canoe race, put a full size car battery in the canoe with them, just so they could hook up the Dukes of Hazzard horn. Between it and the beer, and the hole in the canoe, one had to empty water and the other rowed. Some how they came in third.
