I have seen this used by both Wire Service where they are offering you something for free and you have to call and cancel or they start billing you for the item or service rendered.
THe latest is free publication for the next 2 months and I caught on that you Had to call to cancel your subscription or they will ocntinue to send the magazine.
I told them to keep their magazine and save time that I do not want it. Very persistent person at the other end, saying it was for free...
I guess some still don't know the meaning of NO THANK YOU.

I wonder how many shops will get this and being charge for this before they realize what is happening.

Same thing happened to us, Luc. We also declined the 'free' issue.

I also received a call from TF asking if we wanted to 're-order' Daisy forms. I asked the 'sales representative' if that question was her idea or if she was coached.

"How appropriate is it to request a 're-order' when you've never had a first order for forms from us?"

"Well...uh...uh...uh..."

Expessed my sincere disappointment that TF was now adopting tactics typically reserved by the telemarket-scammers.

Many companies utalize this PLOY...often getting an unknowing employee that just says...."sure"...

I try to NEVER ever say the word "Yes" on the phone...often times these calls are recorded, and they can just plug your word in....

first off, christine, i love the fat dancing barney!! :)

as for my dec tf statement, they charged me $180 for xmas newspaper ad i did not approve, i did it in 2003, but this year told them flat out "no"! but they went ahead and put me in anyway and charged me! i complained to them and im waiting for a call back from someone...i will follow up in 2 days! and i WILL GET CREDITED!!!! I ALSO JUST DROPPED all my also served by listings, all tollfree listings, and extra crap! i cancelled them all! and i will never buy tf products again(holiday products are a joke!!!) ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! i am also going to start sending all my wire outs with cc instead of dove!! the only thing i have to still pay for is Eagle pos and dove and tf web site, everything else i am cutting out!! Do they charge for not sending any dove orders wire out? will i be pentalized for that? :musical:
 
Their infamous low sending fee...or reciprocity fee. They expect you to send at least 20 orders/month. Call and complain about it..the squeaky wheel gets oiled.
 
The low sending fee is "Optional Sending Fee" is $19.95/mo and their "Network Quality Program" whatever that is is $20/mo.
They say (if you complain about the Opt. sending fee) fax us a copy of your FTD orders out and if they're comparable we'll adjust. They have no business knowing what I send out for FTD orders. If you don't have FTD, then just tell them you don't have the volume of outgoing orders..plain and simple. We don't here in this town. I have sent out according to what the customer picks...if they want a Teleflora product or if they want an FTD product. If they want "designers choice" then I check what I have received to what I have sent. I told them I did not want to pay the 'Optional Sending Fee" if it was an option, I wanted to option out of the charge. They now credit the fee. But as of this month, I'm out of Teleflora anyway. So good luck.

A "Teleflora" rep (selling D F Products) has been calling me to get our custom forms business and I was wondering if anybody had any feedback (good or bad) on their printed forms. I had heard of a shop in Florida not happy regarding the perferations in their POS forms. Anybody?
 
Why do you want to feed the mouth that bites you? Teleflora collects $10.00 right off the bat on the TF website orders. I would get a 3rd party POS system and do my own website.
Screw TF and FTD.

something doesn't add up here. I can understand unloading all the extras to save money. But NOT using the wire-out feature of your membership seems a bit crazy. If your going to maintain your membership, why lose money by not sending through the system??????????????????????
