If you have a TF website "click to call" will be added to your site in April. They want everyone to try it out, but don't forget to cancel by May 01 if you do not want to be charge $1.99 every time someone clicked to talk before you cancelled. I think I will call before this service begins and opt out!

"Click-to-talk" called me yesterday, the real company not TF...

They claimed a 30% higher conversion rate... I doubt that but wonder if anyone is using this type of service?

Not an actual order conversion

My gut feeling is that it might convert over some of the customers that have a "need" to actually talk to someone while placing the order....not actually convert the order.

Teleflora probably has done some type of survey with stats of the percentage of customers on a Teleflora site that calls the florist with the order instead of using the shopping cart option. They see the amount of website business that they are missing accessing the $2.99 order, so this is a way to increase their action on the call-in orders.

Question, does the $1.99 fee for the "Click-to-Talk" go on top of the $2.99 Dove website fee?

Boss,
They have been calling me every month for several months now. I won't even listen to their speil because the dude that calls me is a pushy, fast talking down state New Yorker with a bigger than life additude that I can't bear to listen to. How's that for a reason not to try a service? Looks like they talked TF right into it...anyways I'm opting out.

If they click to talk they they have placed it by phone so there is only the $1.99 charge not the dove charge. It still sucks.

Its been on our site for almost 30 days.

No calls yet!

I think I gave them my old Credit Card so they will be calling for a new one at the end of the month.

Very disapointed that it didn't work and now its going to be on the TF sites. Oh well!

Monkey see monkey do - they also are trying in their own way to "stop migration of orders to member sites" or, in their way, cash in on it. If they could, they would probably try url changes.

.....change URL's...........

Schhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Don't give them any ideas !:ned

Here's something I believe that is totally skrude. Slightly off topic, but...

I was just talking to a friend in Portland who is a TF member and wants their .com orders and says he hasn't had one all month and can't figure out why.

I told him "if you owed them money you would" He says "you really think so?" I'd bet 12bux left nut that their system is totally weighted to send orders to who owes them the most money. (You don't mind do you Mark - they won't get it)

This is skrude cuz who is going to give better quality, someone who can't pay their bills, or....?

I think not and I doubt very much that opinions vary on that issue.

Maybe all this will in the long run help weed out the industry. We can only hope.

Bingo!

It's a way for TF to monetize and track the phone orders so they get a piece of that action, too.

Your local and toll free # should be clearly positioned on every page of your site, if you're a real florist.

you took the words off my fingertips.

Thanks but please note I was betting with 12bux's ball, not mine! :hammer:
