I am Ann and was part of the management team at FTD and left in 2003. I started my own company in IL. as part of the Action Coach franchise. My coaches often work with florists on how to improve their business results . As a result I like to keep up on the issues and challenges in the business today.

Just trying to reach my brain back to 2003 when you were at FTD. I'm thinking you were the person instrumental in bringing TY Beanie Babies to FTD...am I remembering correctly?

Please forgive me, I mean this as no disrespect; however, I have to ask....

My experience tells me that Action Coaches expect to be paid to share their knowledge. I understand what we can do to help you but am not clear on what you will be able to contribute without feeling like you are "working without compensation"?

Yes that is true as well as Fresh Flowers etc.

I've never figured out what FTD got out of the Ty relationship, but I'm sure they got something. Ty was so very nasty to the floral industry when they decided flower shops weren't up to their standards and focused getting their product into mall kiosks and chain stores.
I never appreciated the FTD-Ty relationship and as a result stopped purchasing all product from Marketplace.
