Need some help on the mechanics of making this bouquet. Should I wire and tape the cascade part? It's phalos, dendro and hypericum. Can't see what the greenery is? Any help will be appreciated.

Not sure what the foliage/greenery is, but I would create the cascade part out of pruned sprengerri ( just thin out the stems ) and glue the miniature orchids and hypericum ( btw - think the mini orchids are vandas)

I don't know the name of the greenery either but it comes in the mixed australian greens from Vans. The box has a cool mix of 10 bunches and is usually around 4.50 a bunch.

I'd want a few wires running down that cascade not just glue. Hate for it to break off if the bride lays it down wrong.

love the bouquet.

I would use the oasis wire collar and bend it into this shape then glue in my foliage and hypericum and lastly orchids...the orchids look like miniature phalenopsis orchids, our orchid plant supplier here has been getting and increasing variety of theses, they are just as expensive as their full size counterparts and I really have no idea how people sell these tiny little plants for 65-85 bucks, but anywho...the oasis wire collar around a foam holder and bent into shap would have absolutely no chance of snapping, breaking or falling apart....nor would it take the kind of time it would take to weave or crochet wire into an intricate background for such a bouquet and have the strength needed to support it..

Darlene,

The foliage looks like Needle Wattle. It's a variety of Acacia. It appears to have been wrapped with wire and then the flowers are glued into place. I like Lori's idea of using the wire collar. Just stretch it around until you have the shape you want. DON'T CUT IT!

I get those mini phaels on plants, very small plants, they just call them miniature orchids. Looks like white hypericum to me. Don't have a CLUE what the white "tongue" is. Looks like some random petal to me.

I think the white tongue is a leaf from the yellow/white safari suset...
