I need to learn more (or is that anything?)about managing my website.
Until recently, I had someone else updating my site, but that relationship has ended.
Do I have to pay someone else to add little things to my site, or should I be able to do it myself. ie: an article in the city newspaper about my shop...it would be nice to add it , but I have no idea how to do this...or even to put up the date for my open house...I just have no idea.
Since the previous webmaster left on bad terms, is there some way that my site could be blocked, not allowing someone else from updating information. What, if anything should I be asking for from the previous web master?
As you can tell, this is all greek to me.
Any suggestions greatfully accepted.

OB1,

Dorothy will treat you right, talk to her and see if she can help you. I was going to but Dorothy can help, get in touch with her asap. You sure do want it fixed before VDay!

That's a loaded question with many potential answers :)

If you have a Content Management System, you can edit the site without extra software. However, if you don't have a CMS, you'll likely need software and/or assistance.

We can help, if you like - either by converting the site to a CMS for you to manage or by making edits as necessary.

Another excellent option is to contact Teresa at FloristWebsiteHelp.com whose full time job is helping florists manage their websites. She's a professional, and a treat to work with. We've referred dozens of clients, and everyone has been thrilled.
