I just searched my shop on Google, as I do often to check placement and found a nasty review. I am so upset. We have high standards and it appeared to have come from a competitor as it mentions "design experience". I have a designer that was trained at a very reputable school and has 30 plus years of experience and I go to the city to the flower market every thursday for fresh flowers. I carry mostly high end flowers and keep my cooler clean. We are busier than we have ever been. We are in a town with four flower shops and are on good terms with all but one. He has been doing passive agressive things to us since we opened. I can't say for sure he is up to this though. Has anyone else had this problem. The search engine reviews can be helpful but what do you do with false attacks?

I tried to find threads to tell you where to go, found THIS.

I know there is a way to have bad reviews removed, but I don't know how at the moment ... hopefully someone else on her will chime in for you.

Been there....done that....got the t-shirt - three times.

It's vey upsetting and I completely agree that it wasn't written by an objective consumer. I clicked 'No' on 'Was this review helpful?" and see a couple others did, too. That may help.

Fake negative reviews stink. The best way to combat them is to get as many customers as possible to write real reviews about you.

If you can PROVE is was written by a competitor or non-customer (and that's not easy), click 'Flag as inappropriate' and give an explanation. The 'reviewer' has just a single review and may have been a new identity created simply to slam you. It may also be the online ID of the same person who administers a competitor's Google Local listing. Google will be able to see all the activity related to that account and can also use that info to assess the veracity of the review.

Honestly though, at this point, the more people who click that they don't find the review helpful, the better.

I did as well ...

I am so sorry, this has happened to us as well in the last few weeks, it is another shop doing this, and I am so over this crap, and Dear, keep in mind, that when another has to do this to get ahead, it will do nothing but come back and bite them in the arse, That is what is so grand about Karma,

I checked it as well, hugs to you.

I was going to check "not helpful" too, but for the life of me I can't find the negative review. Can you supply a link?

Beth :~)

Hi Beth,
It is in Google maps for Derry NH then you click more.. Your a peach thanks. I did read that yahoo has a log that you can see or respond to someone who makes a comment. It would be nice to be able to make good on a mistake if one is reported or reply.
