Dennis,

I've been all over the internet can't find anything, but if I had to guess, it does resemble something akin to an anchoring tool.

Maybe anchors styrofoam into the ground or something?

I'm pretty sure they are the metal picks for artificial flowers, circa 1970. As soon as I saw the picture, my finger started to swell up and ache...bad experience all round.

Thanks for the info,, I was once told that it was to pick fruit into designs,,,, ????

i think the tool was used for making holes in soil for new cuttings,'DREMMEL"?? the spikes were used for stringing benches with cotton string across wires to hold up flowers while they were growing in a greenhouse (snap) to keep them strait untill they were cut.

it is not a Dibble Stick.

looks more like some sort of fastening tool, .....as in stick one of those picks in the curved blade and then bend around something.
