I am doing 13 centerpieces for a wedding on the 26th... 5" cube vases. The bride is supplying submersible lights and mables she wants me to use. Usually with a cube vase, I either create a hand-tied and put it in the marbles or use tape to create structure. However, I'm concerned that the stems will hide the light if I use either of these techniques.

How would you go about this arrangement? I'm afraid a lomey dish will look sort of strange with the cube. My other thought was to place a small foam half-round cage nestled in the top of the marbles and arrange in that. Other ideas?

use another small cyslinder vase inside the cube, arrange marbles & lights
around this vase & the flowers as a hand tied, kept inside the second vase.
There is an adhesive that will secure the vases to each other, if they're clean & dry. Check with a glass shop for that.

Though it may not be so easy if the flowers are particularly thick stemmed....

I guess I would use simple large flowers like hydrangeas to minimize the stemmage.

It's nice that people believe we can do anything, but sometimes their expectations can be out of whack - had one recently who wanted 36" cylinders with apples - SUBMERGED - and floating candles on top. Yeah, candles are not the only things that float!

We used to put submersable lights in arrangements all the time. You can see the light through the stems. No problem!

Just use a clear tape grid on the top of the vase.

Do not use leather leaf or other super dirty foliages.
You want to keep your stems as clean as possible. Kinda hard to change the water after the fact!
