I haven't done these but I need to make some centerpieces for tomorrow with submerged orchids in a cylinder vase. How do you get the orchids to sink? Is there anything else I need to know? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks

it's really quite easy.
Take your orchids, and remove their stems. peirce the "hip" of the orchid with decorative wire, and thread a few of them onto the wire.
Coil the wire so that they will fit into the vase.
Fill with water.
The wire will hold the orchids under water.
Good luck.

Tie clear fishing line to the orchids and a sinker on the other end of the fishing line which can be hidden with what ever decorative thing you like, river rocks, marbles, etc. Depending on how close to the bottom of the vase the flowers land you might get away with no stones on the bottom to hide the weight/sinker. I hope that makes sense.
