Does anyone know what a aaron or erin lily is??
We have a reqiest for a large casket spray red and white roses and this lily
We do have day lillies and casablanca as back up as we are thinking it would have to be a white lily
If anyone knows for sure please let me know otherwise we will do it with what we have

Thanks Joanne

My guess is they want a Nerine Lily, which are quite cool and something we use a lot this time of year in our arrangements. These lilies have their own look, nothing like any other lily. ( they mostly come in shades of pink and kind of look like a smaller day lily.) If you have a hard time finding these from your wholesaler, I can recommend a farm I buy them from.

In my posts about florists getting with the times and dumping cookie cutter flowers, this is an example of a type of flower that makes your shop different from the grocery stores. Florists, imo, should spend some time and get more unique product and ditch the "traditional" stuff.

You might think, but what do we do if a customer comes in and asks for carnations... This is a hard one for most florist who have been selling them for many years... but what I say is, we don't have any carnations in this week, but we have some fun and exciting new Bergamot (yes Earl Grey) that is quite beautiful. 99 times out of 100, they'll say sounds good.

Possibly they might mean an "arum lily" which is actually a variety name for a large white Calla lily.
Hope that helps.
