Herb on CNN

Early this morning I glanced over at the TV and saw a handsome devil with "Herb Rothe of Rothe Florists" at the bottom of the screen.

I only caught it for second and thought I might have imagined it but sure enough they seem to be running it at the bottom of each hour as part of story on local banks. You see Herb and his store.

Yup - that's me! Goes to show you NEVER know when a media opportunity will present itself. The interview came about with less than 20 min. warning. Totally unrelated to the flower biz it was, but I tried to get the "local florist" bit in - but that part didn't make the sound bite. Out of the minute or so interview, they used a 5 or 6 sec. sound bite with video of the shop.

I'm just surprised it went national... Cousins from Atlanta and Florida were emailing me this morning...

On another note, I was hoping you would host the next florists night out in Philly at your awesome flower shop! I still have not gotten up that way to visit you so , hope you are into doing it sometine soon!

Lets just hope no one has an anniversary that day as Navy Brat can get a little bit crazy with ideas if you know what I mean LOL!

Herb has one of the coolest shops I have ever seen and the most scenic drive in from the highway you can imagine.

IMO, The Chestnut Hill area is one of the nicest areas of Philadelphia!

Still getting emails about it today. My wife said to me this morning, "So... did you head go back down yet?"

I simply replied: No. Now, can you PLEASE fix my breakfast and tie my shoes - I'm a Star now, ya' know!

With that, she laughed and gave me a bowl of Cheerios...no milk.
