In this mornings Wall Street Journal, they reported that a judge in Boston ruled that banks who issue credit cards can proceed to sue a retailer, ie TJMax, because they say the retailer didn't keep credit card data safe.
Could this be the beginning? What happened if the bank comes after you because they say your florists shop was the souce of a data leak? Could you survive given the amount of legal fees needed to defend yourself, even though you were innocent?
Do you think credit card banks have gone too far?
