In my opinion.....anyone should enjoy seeing Hitomi. I have seen her talk with non designers, and others from many walks of life and they still are glued to her every word. She is my Number One inspiration.

I took her class in Vancouver. It was The.Best.Thing.Ever.

Also did Designing for Excellence at Texas A & M and she was one of 4 instructors....thats what convinced me to seek her out in Vancouver.

Check out her newly launched concept at www.design358.com.

Very True Carol: The last show I saw Hitomi at.......I was helping another in the workroom, Hitomi was next to us....and due to some mix-ups.....Over 2/3rds of her procurement list did not arrive, So, all of us in the backroom gave her a good bit of our stuff, and after about thirty or forty minutes of just sitting there thinking and re-planning......She gave a beautiful presentation and took my breath away with some of the work.....that was created "on the fly"

While I've never seen Hitomi in action I did have the great good fortune to see Rene at the Niagara show. I learned so much and to this day I carry that knowledge with me. I love his book on bouquets too. :)

Rene is cuter than Hitomi.

Good fortune, indeed!

There are great designers.....and there are talented and even genious...
but there are much much much much fewer designers who have ever revolutionized our industry.......
Hitomi is the first of them.

Hitomi, Along with Phil Rulloda, "Buddy" Benz, Gregor Lersh, Els Hazenberg, John Haines, and now Ralph Null - have been recognized by AIFD with the Award of Design Influence.
