My shop has been asked to decorate one room, the dining room in a local musuem built in the style of an 18th century English country manor. The dining room more than any other rooms reflects a strong oriental influence from that period. This will be in perment Christmas material.
Looking to find books available that would give some historical reference to
Christmas during that period. The theme is to be "An heirloom Christmas"

Also any ideas are welcome.

I'm not sure if you are thinking Victorian era or something prior to that. An Asian influence would make me think towards adding a faux pheasant or at least pheasant feathers and possibly berries. The English were heavy on the pine boughs at that time as well.

This site might help:

Looking at Asian art from that period includes pine, birds, deer, twigs and a magnolia looking flower. Maybe the deer antlers could be incorporated as well.
