I am looking for help from anyone at all, but I think mostly from the Canadians on FC. July 16th my house got hit by lightening and burned badly. The house was built in the 1800’s so there where no fire stops, this means water just flowed down all of the horsehair plaster walls, and then all the walls that were not burned buckled and fell down. The ‘frame’ is still there.

What I want is the guy from Homes on Homes (that TV show), I’m not kidding if anyone knows anyone I WANT that guy! He seems so honest and since my house is so old he might find it interesting enough to help out.

So sorry to hear what happened. I believe Mike Holmes specifically works on homes that have been screwed up by other contractors....so not sure you would qualify. Or maybe that's just what he does for the T.V. show and does others that are not used for the show. Regardless, I hope you get the help you need to get the job done.

P.S. I agree, he seems really honest and I love the show!

Dee that is awful, sorry i cant help but just wanted to say i hope you get it sorted ok :)
 
I was just wondering where you were at...So sorry this has happened to you...Glad noone was hurt, but it is no less devastating...prayers for a quick and painless rebuild!
