I just opened my nov. statement. my fees - not including clearing house or saf dues - went from $259.00 in may to $427.00 in Nov.
I only received 17 orders and only sent 11.
I did get a new interflora directory for $32.09. The last one was never unwrapped. Also didn't get any rebate?
I guess I better start reading all the faxes.
 
Called my FBC and told him to get it taken off. I would refuse the directory (it came today and told them to take it back).

Um, yup ... can't complain about stuff you didn't read :)

These issues are best dealt with when fees and changes are announced, not retroactively.

I don't believe you get a rebate if you send less than 20 orders in a month.
 
My "special" one year 99.99 membership is up. Called my rep, he recommended I e-mail his boss. We'll see how that goes. I know I should just get out, but still scared. Yes I'm a coward!

So let me understand this .... it cost you over $25 to simply receive each of those 17 orders, could only send out 11 which does NOT qualify for any rebates dollars and you are paying for a directory you not only don't read it's still wrapped in its plastic wrapping.

So WHY??? are you with a Wire Service ? Where are the benefits ? Bet your bank account could use one right about now! Come 2010 the fees will only go higher, but will your orders ? hmmmmm.....

I don't see why you continue to be a member. It's certainly not worth what you're paying.

Be proactive and not reactive... listen to your own concerns and complaints and remove yourself from the source.

ok, I sent the message over the mercury to quit. I will send a certified letter tomorrow. Technically my last "signed" contract with them ended last month, so I'm not sure they can make me stay till i'm out of the directory. Any advise on that would be appreciated.
On another note, I received 3 fsn orders today, sometimes we don't get that many in a month.

I am nervous, which is stupid I know. I just don't want to be one of the many florist that folds. We had a great October then a really crappy November. I feel like I have to rethink every stupid thing! It's the right decision! I hope lol

quick note here.
I went back with FTD when they offered me a "can't refuse" offer. It's been two years + since they have had a shop in this area (no one else serves it). I don't know who's been filling any orders they may have had for this area in the 2 + years, but I will say since I rejoined, I can count on my hands how many orders I've received through them (7). And, those orders were for sympathy/funeral orders..take that back, 1 Christmas one last week.
If they drop ship here, it's a crap shoot, especially at Christmas time.
I have found their service areas are shrinking (but I know TF signs up anyone - even those shops not yet open - but thinking about opening)
It's a big 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. If you need a sending option, find - no negotiate - to find the one that gives you what you need at a price you find you can live with.
Good Luck - and yes, they'll hold you to the end of the book, doesn't mean you have to accept every order though....
