Well for us, it will be hard to celebrate Valentine on the day itself since my wife have to work nights the sat to monday. ANd since I will be working long hours during the day I will have to come up with a few surprises.
I will try to arrange a little surprise for about 4 days prior to Valentine day and I will send her the usual roses to the home before she goes to work.

Starting the wed. Before, our local newspaper is doing valentine wishes which I will get in.
On Sat before I leave, I have purchased a coster with a nice poem on it about my wife and my love to her. I will leave it in the kitchen before I leave.
On Sunday since I am coming to work I will propably leave lucky valentine scratch tickets, chocolates and anything else I can get along the way.
On Monday morning I will send 12 roses arr in a vase at home. Usually I sent it at work but she can be a different places during the evening so It would be hard for me to arrange something.

I am hoping to find and leave a few more surprises along the way.

So how are you celebrating this day? Maybe I can steal some of your ideas to enhance mine this year.

I have done the coupon thing, where I made my own book for coupons for her to use when ever she wanted to.
I have done a steamy naughty explicit letter for her enjoyment only. This one she always talk s about. Well worth it guys....or gals for your husband...on nice paper sent to them at work in a brown enveloppe....with no return adress on it....with a dash of perfume or lotion on it.

Have fun!!

I once sent a stripper to my husbands office (he was an accountant-pretty stuffy office!) on V-day. It was also our anniversary so my gifts did double duty. When the kids were little I saved my pennies got my sister to come in and baby sit for a few days and kidnapped him from the office for a 3 day crusie. Alas, the marriage went kaput after 20 years, but those are good memories.
My current love and I are planning a March getaway in lieu of V-day. Going to see a Yankees spring training game and antique hunting (guess who choose what!) and 2 nights in a b&b.

Hmmm...

I suppose I should start thinking about this, huh.

Since my wifee-poo is a stay at home Mom (for the most part), I think a really nice night out would work for her... She (and I) really enjoy a nice dinner out...will look into this place in Skippack, PA - really cozy, good food and excellent service. Did it 3 or so years ago and it was a hit.

Of course, will send the usual 24 roses...will go to the wholesaler at 7am sometime later in the week and hand pick a variety. She likes the different stuff...since she gets the usual colors during the year...she also is a big "thought that counts" type of gal...really appreciates the thought and effort that goes into the gift.

Usually celebrate Valentine's a week later and call it a 2 for 1 Florists Valentines day....get it the 21st 2 for 1...
Its worked for me for a lot of years, 33 to be exact.
