When you deliver weddings, do you do anything special? I mean do you display them in vases, rose boxes, buckets, white boxes? How about Bouts and corsages?
I don't know, we went out to dinner with some friend yesterday and noticed a florist delivering bridal flowers in rose quarter boxes. I snuck in to the church after they left to take a peek. They left all the flowers on the floor in the rose boxes. It was a hideous presentation, really embarrassing. Great first impression. The flowers were pretty nice, but it was just a horrible presentation. And to think someone had to dispose the boxes which were basically trash.
We put our bouquets in a vase and bouts and coursages in a nice white box. We label the box with our Shop name and each coursage and bout have the name of the reciepent pinned on them. We sign a nice wedding card to the bride and groom and ask them to return our glass to the shop when they return from their honeymoon. Everything else we deliver is set up.
I do the same for my bouts/corsages: white box lined with tissue, name on each, shop name on the outside. Hand-tied bouquets are in vases with a little water. We deliver & set-up, so we make sure they are dried off.
Yes, it's important. It's often the first impression potential customers (bridesmaids, moms, etc) have of us. I want to be neat & tidy, but I don't want the bride to feel like she's paying for a lot of fancy packaging either.
