Last week I posted about what types of flowers you offer for prom.

This week I am wondering how you sell prom flowers?

Do you have a base price for each wristlet and flower and then accessories are an additional fee

OR

Do you have packages like Basic (basic elastic wristlet), Fancy (with beaded bracelets) and include accessories in the price?

I have a base price for a basic corsage with ribbon on elastic wirstie, then base price for beaded wrist bands then base price for rhinestone wristbands, then I add for bling and wire accents...

my basic prices are 25.00(lady fair elastic), 35.00(lower priced beaded) and 45.00+ higher priced rhinestone....most of my corsages end up being custom jobs or just basic with the upgraded bracelets for newbies, that just don't know or believe the custom wristlets will be much more appreciated..

We have set prices and they can add bling (pearls, rhinestones, and so on) for an additional charge.

We even have fun names.
Standard (sounds pretty bland huh) Elastic Band ~ 24.95
Deluxe ~ $30.99-32.99
The 34.99 and up are premium.

Your choice of flowers and ribbon if you want. Our girls here in the midwest still like the ribbon and tulle but we are slowly showing more and more without. It's the moms I think that are more stuck on the old fashion look. But some of the moms flip when they see the wire and they just have to have it.

I call the elastic band "Old School" when selling them. I sell very few elastic bands $25 is the starting price.

I sell mainly $40 corsages.

my average wrist corsage is 25, but with a fewcrystals and fillers i go upto 36,
it is always moms who end up picking higher priced item.

That's funny- It the opposite here. The kids want expensive, Moms- about 1/3 of them want to get the cheaper version. They like the fancy but they will say to the boys "Well- maybe you should wait until next year, your senior year for the expensive one." They usually end up buying the expensive one anyway- The look on the kids face is like "Be for real Mom!"

Shannon, my experience as well..The boys moms are such cheapskates...I hear things like, this isn't even his girlfriend or this is just the junior prom, or his tux already cost me 100.00 bucks..I usually remind them how much gowns cost and how much alterations and hair and nails cost...and how very important prom day was to us...all that and I may get the cheapos to upgrade to a 35.00, but they are a hard nut to crack...I much rather deal with the kids, than the moms..for the most part..

wow you all can get them to break a 20?? wow i'm impressed!
This year my prices are 19.98 and up from there..
we'll see if any of the gem bracelettes I got in sell.
But i am worried about them fitting the girls they seem small to me!
