A Recent Phishing Email Blast Could Steal Your Most Important Information!

Think you're good at spotting email phishing scams that attempt to get you to divulge your financial information so the spammers can commit identity fraud?
Phishing is the scheme of angling for your personal information (credit card numbers, social, etc) through email or other means over the internet while posing as a trusted company.
It works like this: ask as many people as possible and realize a one or two percent of replies. People have been doing this since the internet was invented and it still works to this day.
Recently you may have received emails that appear to be from known companies like Washington Mutual, Paypal, Ebay, and others.
The email displays well known company logos and tells you that someone has been trying to access your account, or that they are doing a scheduled upgrade, and that you must immediately update your information.
The link in the email leads you to a website or IP address that is not the company's website but convincingly looks just like it.
They will ask for credit card numbers that have nothing to do with Washington Mutual or a lot of the companies that they pretend to be.
If you are in a hurry, or distracted, you could mistakenly follow along with it without seeing the red flags waving.
Accidentally filling out the information could ruin your life in a way that is unfixable. Please be very careful when giving out your information to anyone and if you have already given out your information call your bank and credit card companies right away.
